Central Plaza Hotel implements innovative strategies for the sustainable protection of the environment: energy efficiency, careful selection of materials used in the modernization process, water saving.

These measures contribute to the minimization of the environmental impact and to the increased comfort offered to our guests.

Environmental impact mitigation measures used by Central Plaza Hotel:

  • Over 90% of the hotel's interior spaces capture natural daylight;
  • Modern energy-efficient heating and cooling system designed for individual temperature control in all hotel rooms;
  • Efficient gas consumption through reheating and reuse of the central heating system;
  • Computerized controlled heating and cooling system that allows to turn it off in rooms where no guests are staying, i.e. system calibrated to the wishes and expectations of the guests;
  • Providing fresh air inside the building through a continuous process of refreshing with outside air;
  • Modern energy recovery technology that retains 81% of the heat in the exhaled air from the common areas - the system controls the humidity level in the air.
  • Efficient windows covered with a reflective insulating material that protects the interior from infrared rays. This system also keeps heat in during the cold season and prevents it from penetrating during the warm season, helping to reduce the energy used for additional heating/cooling.
  • Carpet fitted without adhesive to reduce toxicity;
  • Water conservation system by using sink and basin faucets with flow limiting system, helping to reduce the amount of water used annually by approx. 35%;
  • Energy efficient minibars, class A+ and with environmentally friendly refrigerant gas (non-CFC producing refrigerants);
  • Energy saving light bulbs and high efficiency fluorescent lamps throughout the hotel;
  • Mattresses made of 100% natural, anti-bacterial, air-conditioned material with appreciated fillings such as merino wool for the winter face (has optimal thermostatic properties, soft, elastic, very air permeable) and hemp for the summer face (high hygroscopicity, has a high moisture absorbing capacity);
  • Bath accessories (dispenser holder) with refillable to eliminate plastic build-up.
